The dragon heard Karma's comment, and it screeched. The claws extented and the eyes became slits. IT grew angry and deadly. Looking to Karma, he swung his massive tail in her direction.

Karma jumped back and looked at Linith. "It may hate me but its still the cutest thing in the world..." She said then looked back to the dragon. "I wonder where he came from..."

Roth stood very still, his eyes shut. After a while he reopened them. "Um," he said slowly. "This isn't a friendly dragon." His staff was in his right hand. "I suggest we run." Thinking about how long it had taken them to move on from the tree he shook his head in despair. "Never mind, we'll never make it."

Karma looked at Roth. "Come on! Have some confidence!" She said then looked back to the dragon. "Plus I think we can teach this overgrown lizard a thing or two..."

Roth sighed. "I suppose. If only we had another Chosen here...then I would have more confidence. But still..." He let some energy build up in his mind. "We might have enough power here as is..." He felt the energy grow even more.

Roth ignored her, and concentrated harder. He pointed his staff towards the monster, the tip glowing a fiery red. As if getting a better idea the red faded into a bright, icy blue. "Don't...just stand there," he said in a strained voice through gritted teeth. With that the blue went brighter than ever. Then, with a gasp of effort Roth released the energy at the dragon. The dragon snorted at Roth, trying to figure out what it was doing. As it took a step forward, a thin streak of what appeared to be a translucent blue liquid shot rather undramatically from the end of the staff. It shot in a straight line towards the creature's front leg. As it travelled through the air snowflakes formed around it as the moisture in the air was frozen. The liquid energy struck the oversized lizard's front right leg, and splashed off in a rather dissappointing manner. However, where it struck the scaled turned a brittle white, and crackled off. Roth wasn't done. With a shout he thrust his staff forward, and the streak turned into a beam about half a foot in diameter. It hit the leg and the entire thing turned an icy blue and crumbled. Roth sighed with satisfaction and stood up. He made a gesture towards the creature. "Go," he said simply, and walked over to a nearby tree, which he leaned against, watching.

Karma tilted her head to the side. "Wow..."

The dragon clearly wasn't finished, although a missing leg obviously hindered it. It staggered forward awkwardly and roared in pain. Roth decided to leave the rest to the others, and became invisible to the dragon. It searched the area keenly for him, but couldn't sense him. It turned to the other two instead. Roth chuckled and scratched the back of his head with the tip of his staff. "Well don't just stand there," he called, "I think the 'cute little dragon' wants to play."

--+ "Traitor." Karma muttered and glanced at Linith. "It has a really weak point on its throat. If we hit it directly there then it should die quickly" Now most people would consider Karma odd but since she saw auras just about everything glowed to her.

Roth sniffed absently and checked an imaginary watch. Then he realized that the other two hadn't heard of watches before and simply tapped his foot instead. He waved them on. "Go on," he said encouragingly. "Shoo."

"Well then what are you waiting for?" he said, grinning. He took out his bow and arrow and readied them. He held it back, making sure that all of his strength was placed into the arrow. "Ready?" he asked, expecting Karma to do the same.

Roth hummed lightly and popped his knuckles. He raised his staff and brought it down like a flag. "Go!" he shouted.

It was right about then that a blur of black and white sped through the air, waving an even bigger black blur. The dragon reared and screamed as a scythe, roughly 8 feet tall ruined it's left eye. The blur fell, or rather, bounced to the ground, giggling.
"Wee! Bad lizard!" A girl, maybe four and half feet tall with snowy-white hair and huge blue eyes stood rather proudly, a rather silly muskateer's hat with a huge plume feather curling down to her shoulder. She sported a dark vest, dark pants, dark shoes and dark finger-less gloves as well as awhite flowing shirt with puffy sleeves and a dark cape. She still held the scythe, which looked way to big for her. "Say, what the blazes is goin' on 'round here?" Pausing she blinked in shock as she spoted Roth.
"UNCLE ROTH!" Immediatly about 90 pounds of weight rushed into him, jumped into the air and smashed into his chest, small arms flinging themselve around his neck. Alleyway Lin, thief and irritation extraordinair, a chosen one was back from a trip to some large city... somewhere, or so she had said before her departure.
