"So, are we almost there or what?" He was getting bored, not to mention nervous walking through the dark forest with two strangers. I'm gettin' hungry.

"We're here."
Damaris set her gaze out to the gurgling steam just straight ahead. As the trio (Or twin duo's if you count Omigi in ) neared the water's edge, the thick coils of a school of fish tore the rippling surface of the stream. Collectively, both Damaris' and Omigi's eyes flicked immediately to the nearest source of food ; Omigi turned to grass, and Damaris turned to fish. The lizard dismounted and crouched down by the clear liquid.
"... and we're going to be sleepin' with the fishes in our bellies at the looks of the school here."
Without another word, the reptile hummed a merry hunting song as she unbuckled the gauntlets on her arms and legs, flinging them to a neat little clearing of smooth rocks by the stream to the left of her. She then rose and began stretching, finally giving the two a look as she did so. A sweet crackling of her neck and knuckles echoed into the steady night forest.
"Well, I know how to fish. Jyp, you're a cat so you're fine on your own too, right ? ... what about you, Robert ? You don't posess our animal senses, claws, or instincts, how're ya gonna fish ?"

Jyp nodded. "I can fish all I want, an' if Rob wants, I can get him some too..." he glanced over at Robert for his answer, taking off his cloak and sword as he did so. His tail swished slowly as he glanced into the water.

Rob thought of how he was going to catch the fish, but couldn't think of a method as to how he was going to do so. This got him a bit frustrated and he stared at the water, watching the fish swim by. I bet I could get some fish too, if I was half cat or half lizard... He managed to halt his anger from leaking into his words, as he told Jyp "I'd appreciate if you got some fish for me too."

Damaris waded into the knee high stream, careful enough to not scrape her smooth footclaws along the rough pebbles at the bottom. The underwater crackling excited the fish within the water, and several of them made frenzied leaps, creating quite a scence on the stream's surface. The lizard, almost desperately, ducked her head down and caught an unfortunate fish in her jaws by its soft belly.
The fish was of a medium size and goodness of taste. Whipping her wolf-like head back, she flung the fish over to Rob, who, hopefully, was quick enough to catch it. She licked her bloodied fangs, where she had sunk them into the fish, and craned her neck up, stretching again.
"Since yeh can't fish, yeh can prepare it. Go to that clearning over there(where Damaris had flung her gauntlets), set up a small fire, and cook the fishies however you want."
Without waiting for an answer from Rob, or a word from Jyp, Damaris nosed the surface of stream, and jerked her neck into water to snag another fish. It was evident now that Damaris intended to share her kills.

Rob had been staring off into the distance, for no real reason when Damaris threw the fish his way. Turning his head back just in time, his eyes opened wide. The bloody animal smacked his face accompanied by a loud wet noise. Holding his arms out, he let it fall into his arms, and he was left with a red mark on his face and a near dead fish in his hands. "Right then..." he said with some anger. Walking over to the place that Damaris indicated, and began to gather some dead sticks. After retrieving quite a few, he returned to the place. Placing them all in a pile, he finally opened his book. This is one thing I can actually do. Placing one finger on a word, and his free hand pointed to the sticks, he said quietly, "Brisingr." A spark traveled from his hand to the branches and they ignited when the spark reached them.
"Well I got the fire started." Rob said, and reached into his knapsack, taking out a small knife. Placing the fish on the grass, he chopped off the head and began scraping off the scales. When the scales were removed, he made a hole in the fish. Taking a random brach, he put it through the hole and looked at the fish. Throughly pleased, he held the branch over the fire and the fish began to cook.

Jyp jumped into the water heedlessly, splashing noisily. He grinned. "Woops. Sorry." the cat-sprite said, laughing. He stood silently a moment, then pounced onto a fish, killing it swiftly. "There ya go, Robby-boy!" he called, flinging the fish onto the bank.

As soon as Rob turned to the indicated site, Damaris twirled around and made a distinct face of 'whatever', an outstretched tongue and a finger tugging down on the skin under her left eye. She then snorted up, flicking her chin along in union, and returned to fishing.
Minnows, trout, salmon, whatever fish that was in the stream sped up and around the fishers' feet/paws like rabid hellbound creatures. Instead of whacking Jyp into the water for causing such a racket in the almost silent surroundings, Damaris dipped her head low and snatched up some live fish fry in her jaws. The smaller, barely snack-sized fish went straight to her stomach.
As the waters finally calmed from Jyp's jumpin's, the aquatic daredevils returned to their less frequent jumpings, ending Damaris' short snacking session. Eyeing a large, brilliantly scaled fish to her far right, Damaris leaned forward, then dove, the hackles of blue mane raised, claws outstretched, and jaws agape.

Jyp rose an eyebrow at Damaris. "Hungry, leatherhead?" he said, then pounced onto another fish, much like a cat, and creating yet another large splah. "This's fun." he said, grinning. "Hey, betcha I can catch more'n you!"

After running over to fetch the fish, he quickly returned to the site. He repeated the process that he had done before, completing the process with the fish on the end of a stick. "Fish on a stick..." Rob told himself, happily sitting next to the fire.

"Let's not strip this stream clean, how's about finding the biggest fish though, eh... Furface ?"
Damaris spoke through lightly clenched teeth, and steady streams of water... flowing off the massive side of the rainbow-colored fish held on her shoulders. Six long gashes were still bleeding freshly off of its side, which explained the fish's weak jerks of dying nerves every now and then. Damaris hauled the fish over to the banks of the stream, made it over to where Rob was, and roughly slid the fish from her shoulders and onto a large, smooth rock.
"Chop 'em up, Robbie-boy."
The reptile gave a vain flick of her flattened mane to puff it back up, and lept back to and into the stream, deliberately trying to give Jyp a good 'ol spash in the back... face... entire body. Meanwhile, Omigi had helped herself to a patch of dry grass near the fire. The mare snorted and tossed her head at the scent of the fish.

Jyp plashed Damaris back. "You're on." he said, then started wading upstream a ways, quieter than before. His tail moved slowly as he splashed along. The cat-sprite stopped as a large fish came swiftly towards him, and his tail twitched excitedly. He pounced on it, killing it swiftly. He didn't enjoy giving excessive pain. The cat-sprite tugged it to shore, then carried it over to Rob and dumped on the ground. "There you go." he said, winking. "Cook 'em good, or I'll roast you myself."

Rob retrieved the fish and prepared them in a different manner. PLacing them on the rock Damaris had flung it on, he chopped them up, feeling a bit like a servant. Taking them over to the fire, he roasted them and smiled as the scent traveled to his nostrils.

The smell wafted over to Jyp, and he grinned appreciatively, licking his teeth."Smells good!" he purred. "Hey, Damaris, d'you know if any pike swim these waters?" he asked, tail twitching.

Damaris gave the slightest of 'Pft' looks at Jyp as he aimed and struck the giant fish he had had his eyes and paws on. She turned her eyes back to the stream's glistening waters, quite content with the amount of fish they had caught... Three more fish, and that should be enough ... The lizard watched for three satisfying-looking morsels, and whipped her claws into the water, pulling out a smaller, but still stunningly beautiful rainbow fish. She hurtled this to Rob's cutting rock.
" Haven't seen any yet. I'm gettin' two more fish before I'll call dinner, 'kay ? "
The lizard probably wouldn't be able to fish much longer, the succulent scent of cooking fish wafting into her nostrils. She took another sweet breath in, and then let it out slowly. Damaris then sniffed again, the scent growing stronger. Predator instincts kicking in, the lizard twirled back, and called to Jyp and Rob :
" Curds my tail ! Rob, Jyp, both of you, try to make the fish ... not smell ! We're not the only hungry one's in this forest ! "
