Harue quickly walked with long strides down the road. She stopped and looked at an old shed more than once as she passed it but shook her head and continued walking. Foxes were in there...I hope no one was on watch... SHe thought to herself and dissappeared around another corner onto another road.

Derek was getting irritable. How long would this take? He came to a gap between to rooftops that was too wide to jump. He spotted the girl, then quickly slid down a fire escape ladder. He climbed up a similar ladder on the next building and searched for the girl. He couldn't spot her. Not again, he thought. He hurried up, jumping more quickly, and less cautiously. Where had she gone?

A clatter of metal echoed through the streets. Harue stared at the ground. "Dang..." She said. "Me and my klutzy self..." She muttered. Harue, in her hurry had knocked down a bunch of trash cans but she didn't bother to pcik them up, she just tore through the street until she found a large building, the one she was looking for. "The Owls, if I'm not mistaken..." SHe said to herself.

Derek heard a noisy clatter from down a street. "Ah," he muttered, and hastily caught up, as she stopped in front of a building. Derek watched her lips move. "The Owls, if she's not mistaken," he said to himself, chuckled quietly and climbed off the rooftop, hiding just around a corner.

Harue stood looking at the building for some time, She bit her bottom lip, trying to mak eher feet go where she wanted them too. "Crap...no one said this would be easy but..." She said. 'WHy can't I have courage enough to just walk in and talk to them?' She thought.

Derek watched as she stopped in front of a building. "Ah, that's where she was headed," he said quietly to himself, and stepped out of the shadows. He approached her openly, with no intentions of concealing himself. "You know they won't listen," he said loudly, as he was still quite a distance away. Some bystanders looked up, not sure if they were being addressed. Seing that they weren't, they looked away and went back to their business.

Harue looked at Derek then gave him a glare. "I don't think I asked for your opinion." She said. "And if its a fight you're looking for, you'll have to go somewhere else to get your butt kicked."

Derek shrugged nonchalantly. "You know that talking to them is useless, and you honestly can't think you can take them all on by yourself." He walked past her without another word and pulled the door open, letting himself in.

Harue stared at him as he did this and followed him. "Wait up!" She whispered urgently. "I didn't ask for your help. And I can so take them on..." She said, shifting her shoulders that held the backpack of weapons. "And I really don't plan on killing anyone..."

Derek looked from her face to the bag of weapons. "I'm sure you were just going to give those back, right?" He turned and continued walking. "Are you coming or what?"

Harue followed. "Why are you here?" She asked him in a whisper. "I can do this on my own, I'm not a little kid! Go do something else, this is my job!"

Derek stopped, and turned slowly. "Do you honestly think you can talk them into peace?" he asked, an eyebrow raised. "Failing that, do you think you'll be able to handle a building full of Fox gang members on your own?" He continued walking, turning away. "Just pretend I'm not here," he said, looking from side to side slowly. "When the time is right, I'll be there." He then turned and started heading towards the door again. "You keep going on your own," he told her. "If they spot me they won't hesitate to attack." He pushed his way out of the building, turned right and seemed to vanish.

(um...Foxes?...Owls...Owls, Brad...) Harue stared at the door with her motuh open then shook her head and kept walking in the "abandoned" house. "Who the hell does he think he is? Talking to me like that?" SHe asked herself.

(Oh...oops. Sorry. I'll fix my posts to avoid confusion.) Derek occupied himself by searching for a way in. He looked up and saw a set of fire escape stairs leading to the top of the building. He ignored them, as it was probably guarded at the top, and was much too squeaky to sneak up. He walked around to the back, keeping close to the side of the building. He found no way up at the back, save jumping from another building. But the height difference was too great, he told himself. Still, he kept that option in the back of his mind. He found nothing of any use on the last side, as the nearest building was across a two lane street. He sighed and headed to the tall building behind the Owl headquarters.

Harue stopped when she saw a flight of stairs leading all the way upstairs and to a hatch to the roof. SHe silently and swiftly walked up the stairs, trying to make as little noise as possible. She couldn't shake off the feeling that...that she could hear murmuring almost all around her, like the Owls were invisible or something.
