(I totally just noticed that your alien has the same name as Gts-paik's mate XD) Pharren looked over at them then looked back to the Yautja. "Pharren does not know how well Natives fight." She said. "Pharren knows little about weaponry and battle." She desperately wanted to go sit near Gts-paik and Nihkou'te but she wasn't sure if the other Yautja would let her. She glanced at the green striped one, fingering the blade. Of course she could regenerate if he cut one of her limbs off but she didn't want to risk anything. Regeneration was a rare quality in aliens in her galaxy. That would make her and the rest of the Natives even more of a trophy. She doubted M'yin-de would stand for it though. "Hunting for sport is forbidden on Ixra-weh." She murmured to the green striped warrior. "Nobles of Marinda are very wary of visitors."

Meh'ket growled at Gts-paik and Nihkou'te, then turned away. Obviously he didn't want to risk his neck unneccessarily. At that, the others that had also been pondering a hunt for new creatures, changed their minds and settled back. Nihkou'te smirked and gave Meh'ket an obscene gesture behind his back. Gts-paik cut the thread on the last stitch and tucked most of her tools away in the medi-kit. She left out a nasty looking needle, thick to puncture a Yautja's tough hide. She smiled evilly at the wounded warriors look of horror, a grin very similar to her mother's. Then she jabbed it into his thigh. He let out a muffled roar of pain between clenched teeth. She put the needle away, clipped the kit on her belt and got up. The wounded warrior slowly stood and hobbled off a short distance, groaning.
M'yin-de returned, flicking shut the computer on her left wrist. She said, slightly absently, "I contacted Thwei-Tjau'ke and he thinks he may be able to locate your ship. He will be here..." She trailed off, instantly reading Gts-paik's slightly cranky expression and Nihkou'te's obnoxious one. "What happened?" "Meh'ket was trying to gather a little information on Phar'ren's people. He wanted to go hunting." M'yin-de scowled. She didn't particularily like the idea of anyone hunting Pharren or her family, but outside of the hunts she led, she did not have a great deal of influence over the warriors hunting, unless she went into the Council of Elders. But for such a small thing would be a waste of time for the Elders. If they didn't attract the interests of her clan, then perhaps she did not have to worry about Pharren's head ending up in a display case. "MEH'KET!" she barked, clenching her fists. "What did I tell you about guests?!? If you have scared her, you'll be sorry!" He scattered before the angry female, attempting to hide behind another. She grabbed his dreadlocks and yanked him closer. Snarling, she cuffed him solidly in the head with her metal hand. He fell over under the forse of her blow, clutching the side of his skull. M'yin-de kicked him, pivoted on her heel and stalked away. "He'll not bother you again." M'yin-de said.

((Wow, that one was long! I love Nihkou'te. Him and M'yin-de are my favourites. ^.^ He's such a goofball. I want to glomp him.))

PHarren watched as M'yin-de hurt the warrior, at Pharren's expence. She certainly knew he was thinking about how good the heads of the Natives would look in various corners of his home, bragging about how he was so much stronger. That wouldn't have happened anyway. Sure, the Natives were scared of the Yautja but Pharren knew more than she was telling. She knew that the Natives were strong, fast on their feet. They'd put up a good fight against a Yautja. PHarren didn't exactly think Meh'ket deserved such punishment for a few questions but she said nothing and stayed beside M'yin-de. She noticed that the place beside her was where Pharren felt safest. She glanced back at Meh'ket, sort of a look of apology in her eyes but she wasn't sure if he caught it before Pharren turned her head and looked at M'yin-de. "M'yin-de..." She whispered. "He did not scare me very much. You did not have to punish him like that."

"I had to anyway." She glanced at the Yautja. "They are mostly like children. They need reminders of who is boss. If I let this slide, Meh'ket would have started testing my authority, pushing for more dominance, making trouble. It is his nature and I must keep my warriors in check." M'yin-de said, "He would have sought out your homeworld and hunted your people. He still might. I can't control them as well back on the clan ship, but at least now he will think twice." The female warrior said after a moment of checking the timer displayed inside her mask, "Thwei-Tjau'ke will be here very soon. We have to get on his ship quickly so that he may leave before the oomans can track us here. He will land in a large park a few blocks from here. Do you think that you will be able to keep up? I or Gts-paik can always carry you." The other warriors, began replacing their masks and standing, stretching and exchanging playful banter amongst each other.

Pharren nodded. "Yes, I can." She said. Of course she could keep up. She was the fastest in her age group. But she used her agility carefully. It was considered a weapon if you were fast on Ixra-weh. Pharren looked around at all the warriors again then took another step closer to M'yin-de, so that she was almost leaning against her. She desperately hoped M'yin-de could help her get home. She couldn't help but think about home. She wondered if her mother and few older siblings were home and had realized that Pharren was gone. They couldn't go back, it would be a threat against their people. They could only hope to see her again. At least alive. "I am very grateful, M'yin-de." Pharren murmured, speaking slowly and clearly, so her Yautian was just right. That was how important M'yin-de was to her now. Maybe the people of Marinda would hear about how the Yautja brought Pharren back home. Yautja and Marindans would become allies. Pharren almost laughed at the thought. Marinda's only allies were their moons. Their species of alien was very rare. Regeneration, agility, among other things that were very special among her galaxy. Yautja themselves weren't exactly feared. Just Yautja like Meh'ket.

"Good." She smiled down at Pharren, and was glad she had her mask on. M'yin-de liked the other Yautja to think of her as angry, incapable of feeling for any but her own flesh and blood. It was, of course, not true. She reached down and touched the tiny figure gently on the shoulder. "You are welcome, Phar'ren." The Elder switched on her cloaking device. As soon as she did, the other warriors copied. Pharren, though short, passed as human. She hefted a dead Kainde Amedha onto her shoulders, as the others were now doing. Glancing out into the street to check for oomans, she signalled the hunters behind her and broke into a swift run straight towards the ooman's park.

Pharren quickly followed them, staying by M'yin-de the whole time. She was just as fast as they were and she kept a steady pace, trying not too use too much of her power at once. She wasn't good at Conservation of Power and her mother scolded her for it. Pharren, as much as she hated getting scolded by the elder Natives, she missed it. It was part of life. Children were expected to obey and if they did something wrong, take a scolding with courage, chin held high. Yet, that was another thing Pharren had trouble with.

M'yin-de's clawed feet pounded the hard concrete. The wind rushed through her long dreadlocks. She loved running at night, especially on Earth since it cooled off and she didn't get too hot. On the Homeworld, it rarely cooled at night, remaining just as muggy and hot as the day. Pharren ran at her side like a forest sprite, keeping up easily. They hurtled into the park. Thwei-Tjau'ke was already there, his large ship hovering a few hundred feet from the ground. It began descending as they drew closer. The warrior female was very glad that it had its own cloaking device and near-silent engines or they would have to stay much further from the Pyode Amedha(Soft Meat) cities. Lowering until it was barely hovering above the ground, a door opened and a set of stairs dropped out. She pounded up, hurrying to get out of the way of the rest.
The soothing warmth of the ship enveloped her and white mist swirled around her feet. She sighed happily. "I have to go dump this great stinking beast in the holding rooms. Want to come?" The warriors who were not burdened by a Kainde Amedha immediately removed their masks and headed off into the various rooms of the ship; the kitchen, meditation/relaxation room, cabins.

Pharren had stopped short when she saw the large ship, getting pushed by a few warriors as they passed to get onto the ship. She didn't expect to see it so quickly but she just shook her head and hid in between the warriors until she got to M'yin-de. When M'yin-de asked her a question she gave her head a slight shake, though she wasn't even paying attention. She was interested in all the technology the ship held. She had never seen so many blinking lights and controls in her short life. She slowly started going around the ship, looking but too scared to touch anything. Even the floor that clicked under her feet seemed to hold so much technology. In the ship she came in there was only the thingypit and it was a simple design, seeing as how they had to stop to fix something so minor. The only other thing on the ship was a small crate of supplies and then just bare floor and wall for the rest of the occupants to stay in.

M'yin-de shrugged and headed off through the corridors, into the depths of the ship along with the others also burdened. Dropping it on the floor, she left, heading for the room she had designated as hers for the mission. M'yin-de stretched, cracking her spine noisily, then shaking out her arms. Her armor and weapons were stowed neatly in an case. The Elder now wore nothing but a short, tight top, a long leather loincloth and her wrist gauntlet. After a quick search she found Pharren peering about the halls near the relaxation room, awestruck expression on her face. "Have you not seen anything similar? Tell me, what are you people's ships like?"

"Simple." Pharren murmured, carefully running her finger over the metallic lining on the machines. "Just a computer and a hover engine. Like the first ships ever created. Its to keep younger ones like me guessing about what I will learn about real technology in the future. They are very safe but every now and then we hit a glitch." her Yautian was a bit slurred and she stumbled over the words. about halfway through her last sentence she started speaking in her native tongue as she stared at all the tech.

((Hee, yeah...)) "I see. Because many of us spend most of our lives in space, the ships are all quite lavish. Especially the clan ships. Those are so large they cannot land. We have orchards in them, places for raising beasts for food, great gardens... They are cities. Even smaller ships like this are complex. Of course, the warriors who own their own ships want to boast to the others that they have high status, so they do everything they possibly can to make the ships more luxurious." M'yin-de ran her right hand along the deep, abstract carvings on the walls, the soft sensory pads working as well as on a real hand. "Phar'ren? Can you breathe in this atmosphere?" she said suddenly, a note of panic slipping into her voice. What if that was the reason she had slurred and slipped into her native speech, not awe?

Pharren looked at her, her eyes wide. She hadn't been aware of her breathing but it was fine. More shallow than normal but it was livable. The atmosphere was strange on that dark planet that they had left and this was thinner air here but she hadn't been aware of it until M'yin-de pointed it out. She nodded. "It's fine." She said, slipping into Yautian. "I'm sorry you were worried." She looked back at the walls of the ship. "I've just never seen so many computers in one place." Pharren couldn't help but smile a little. M'yin-de was truly concerned about her, as well as wise.
