She shook her head, "Not so much anymore. I was not angry with you." M'yin-de sighed and rubbed the burn scar on her forehead. "Do you really want to leave? I cannot keep you here if you do not want to stay. Though I would like you to stay with me. I can teach you some of my craft, even to fight if you want." She started towards her, stooping and placing a clawed hand on her shoulder, a gentle smile on her mandibles. "I'm not going to force you to do anything you do not want."

Pharren watched her as she said these things then suddenly lunged out and hugged her around her neck, bursting into tears. They both knew she really couldn't go anywhere. She had never been on any other planet except a few along the way back to Ixra-weh. "I don't want to leave..." She murmured.

M'yin-de was caught off guard. The Yautja did not hug each other; body language told them what the other was thinking or feeling. However, she did understand what it meant. "You will not have to leave, ever." Releasing her, she stood up again, making a face and stretching, cracking her back. "I have been awake for a very long time and the sleep pods are looking very good right now. It is a long way back to our clan ship and by now, Thwei-Tjau'ke will have set the ship on course back home. There are extra pods, so I'll make him set one for you. Come on." she said happily. Once outside her cabin, her face became much sterner as she put on the expression that told no one what she was thinking.

Pharren stared then wiped her eyes with the back of her gray hand and followed her quickly. She followed M'yin-de like a little shadow, and looked around at everyone who passed by, though didn't stop. She also wondered what sleep "pods" were. On Ixra-weh they slept on thin mats on the ground, usually sleeping on their backs, strangely.

They entered a large, long room. On both sides of the room were nine and a half foot pods, the lids open. There were twelve pods in all. They slanted slightly and were softly padded. The pods were only used on long journeys; the Yautja would sleep for weeks at a time, held in a deep slumber. They would wake upon reaching their destination. Already, a handful of the hunters were readying their own pods, stripped of all clothing except for loincloths. They keyed in their own specific instructions, learned by heart and settled in, leaning against the padded back. Slowly, the lids descended. Thwei-Tjau'ke was limping around, checking the small computers beside each pod. "Ready to sleep?" asked M'yin-de. "Once you wake up, we'll be less than an hour from the clan ship." She quickly walked over to her own pod and typed in her instructions, silvery fingers flying.

Pharren followed her and watched her type in everything. It was so complicated! She looked in one of the pods, seeing the soft lining. To her the floor looked more appealing but she didn't say so. She watched as the other hunters got in and situated themselves then she looked back to M'yin-de and watched her again, curiousity showing on her face.

Thwei-Tjau'ke started working on the pod next to M'yin-de's. He spent much longer with that one than with the others. "There. That'll work now." he said with a nod, partially to himself. "In you go. You don't have to worry about anything. It will feel like a regular night's sleep." He settled into his own, lid closing over him. M'yin-de entered her own, but did not allow the lid to shut. She waited to make Pharren got into hers alright.

Pharren watched her and Thwei-Tjau'ke for a moment then crawled into the spacious pod. It was large enough to hold her and then another one of her kind, with room to spare. She looked at M'yin-de with a worried face then lied straight on her back in the pod. It was comfortable, but still not like she would have slept usually.

M'yin-de smiled and waved and pressed the button to let the lid shut. She closed her eyes as the warm orange lights in the room dimmed and quickly fell asleep, partially from exhaustion and partially from the effects of the pod as it induced sleep.

As the lid on Pharren's pod went down she gave a small gasp, wanting to sit back up and get out but she stayed and was soon in a deep slumber. But instead of straight on her back she had curled up, sleeping very easily.

M'yin-de awoke suddenly as the pod de-activated. Opening the lid, she staggered out, yawning and stretching. A few other warriors had woken up already and were also stretching and yawning, tending to gravitate towards the kitchen area. She opened Pharren's lid and prodded her sleeping form, smiling wickedly as she peered sleepily up. "We are almost at the clan ship."

Pharren let in a sharp breath then opened her eyes and looked to M'yin-de. She wondered how long she had been sleeping. She sat up in the pod, glancing around. "We are?" She mumbled, then rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "How long did we sleep?" She asked.

"A couple of ooman weeks, not long. Are you hungry yet?" M'yin-de said. Oh, how she couldn't wait to see some of the other Elder's faces! They thought her strange for adopting other species. Though she only persuaded them to allow the ooman to enter training with the other Youngbloods. Pharren would do well with her; hopefully, she would enjoy and have a proficiency with crafting armor. She could help her when she trained the stupid Youngbloods. And hopefully, Pharren would be happy with her.

Pharren nodded. "Yes." She said. She looked around again at the other Yautja then looked back to M'yin-de. She was actually very hungry. The depression of never returning to Ixra-weh was still there but not enough to make her still stop eating. She yawned a little then stood beside M'yin-de. Her little shadow.

Food was already sitting out along the whole length of the polished wood table. There was naxa as well as over a half dozen other types of fruit. There were also many kinds of strange meat in odd colors. Most of the hunters were sitting on tall stools, stuffing their faces and sipping hot teas out of wide, shallow cups. It was quiet as they struggled to wake up. Gts-paik and Nihkou'te were sitting on the end. M'yin-de immidiately claimed the two stools next to them, lifting Pharren up so she could reach. She took out a belt knife and speared a couple slabs of meat as she dragged a bowl of fruit over with the other hand. The Yautja had little in the way of table manners, except during banquets. Then they only let higher ranked warriors grab their food first and refrained from getting too drunk. Regular table manners included not throwing food. Despite this, it wasn't chaotic and messy and disgusting.
