"The year is 2145. The dream of living in space is accomplished. Several satellite stations orbit Earth, home to thousands of citizens of the New Era. But this isn't all it's cracked up to be. This probably isn't the first all of you have heard about Onmico, how they're plotting for domination through their control of the major lines of consumerism, and all that. But this is different. It's not one of those simple-minded stories the tabloids spew at you from their racks. This is real stuff. At 1134 hours, there were several transmissions being picked up by HQ, stating that the head office was going to blow the lid off of the entire op, and formally overthrow the world's governments. In their current state of dependency, we all know that this won't take a lot of work. They control the firearms, they control the space travel. They even control a new sort of energy weapon they've made up. They're kicking up super-solders, military spacecraft, enhancement injections, the whole show. Needless to say, this isn't looking too good for us right now. So our plan is to delay this as long as we can. We have to get into the prime matrix area, where Omnico has all of it's top workings in this station." The figure nodded briefly to someone in full red and gray Omnico uniform, who was shaking his head slowly. "Then, we plant explosives on each of the primary anchors. After that, go to the predetermined cluster point, and blow the works." There was a pause. "Now, I don't have to tell you that this is big. If we pull this off, Omnico will have a hard time fixing things while keeping all their secrets from the press. So we have to do this right. Just remember your training, keep a low profile, and get those bombs in fast. Good luck." The screen went blank, then folded back into the desk usually occupied by the Head of Ops, Rey Gonzalez. As the lights went back on, the uniform-clad figure shrugged, expression hidden by a visored helmet. "I still don't think that this is going to work.”

Lt. Gordon J. Smith snapped up the vid screen, which folded itslef automatically beside his helmet. His squad did the same. "Hear that ladies?" he said gruffly. The squad groaned. He checked their faces and sighed internally. He could tell many of them had never set foot on a battlefield. "Our job," he said suddenly, "is to punch a hole in the city's defense grid." One of the more experienced soldiers piped up. "That's crazy, he'll never manage to slip through without being captured or killed. What's the use?" Smith sighed. "The point is not to create an opening for him, numbnuts," he explained, "but to make them think that's our plan. Omnico will be expecting something like this--have been expecting something like this for a long time. I can assure you that 80% of that city's defenses will be on that east gate." Several of the squad gulped. He ignored it. "While we do what they expect us to do, he will get in through the sewer system. Kapeesh?" He grinned devilishly. Without waiting for an answer he got up and strode to the pilot. He pushed back his tattered remnants of a robe that covered a las-pistol and rested his hand on it's handle. He was unhindered by the light armor he wore, although it was an older model. "We're nearly there sir," said the pilot. As if in reply the dropship trembled slightly as it broke through the artificial atmosphere. "Good," Gordon muttered, patted the pilot on the shoulder and headed back to the hold to continue briefing.

(Yahoo! Dropship! ;D . You're doing good so far.)
The uniform-clad man, who's name was Tenoch as far as anyone knew, smirked. "You sure they're all really up to this?" He asked disparigingly.

(Uh...who is this uniform-clad man now? The pilot? Some random person in Gordon's squad. Someone else? And uh...damn, what was I going to say? Crap.) (Oh right. Desparingly. With an e and an i. ;D)

(Ok, look at the first red sentance in the first post. That's all the info there is. Technicaly he's in your squad, but he doesn't take orders, either. It's a one-of-a-kind type of thing.)

(Ooooh Ehehehe. Got it. Now I can continue ;D) "No," he replied sadly, "but what choice do we have?" He sniffed and heard the pilot's voice click on over the intercom. "Buckle up boys," said the pilot blandly. "Please note that the vomit bags are located to your right." Gordon chuckled at that, but some of the greener troops looked around uneasily. They all sat down and braces lowered themselves automatically, like a roller coaster. The ship trembled violently as it settled on the landing zone. After a moment a hiss could be heard from outside, as the landing struts were loaded. As soon as it stopped Gordon shoved the brace up before the machine could raise it. The voice over the intercom crackled to life once more. "Geez man," said the pilot, "you're gonna bust my ship." Gordon chortled at this. "Take care of yourself," he said, and led his troops out of the opening hatch. Gordon led the squad to a rocky outcrop. He informed them that they had been dropped about 3 km east of the gate. Everyone nodded. He lowered his video visor, which gave him a detailed map of the area. He turned to a troop which carried an odd looking case. "Johnson, you cover us from that ledge." He nodded, patting the case. Gordon gestured for two other squad members to join him. "You two will stay here, with Johnson. Do not distract Johnson in any way, shape or form, unless it's an emergency. Understood?" They nodded. "Okay, follow Johnson." They headed off. Gordon sighed, and headed towards the city. He turned to the former Omnico trooper. "Let's go." He set off towards the city, rubbing the scar under his eye. It looked like the outline of a black eye. He sighed and checked his pistol.

Tenoch followed along quietly. "What is it we're doing at this point." He asked quietly, taking a quick glance around. He wasn't too worried, as the helmet he had was part of a matching set, thus, he could pick up on all of the public channels, and a few of the less public ones.

"We're going to make a racket," he said simply. They were now on a cliff that hung over the city. Below it, there were many guard towers along an incredibly tall and thick wall. The cliff towered over the city. Gordon pulled a sack off his shoulder and revealed three explosive charges. He kept the detonator in his left hand. He looked around, then checked his vid screen. He gestured for the squad to stay where they were, out of sight, and took a route to a ledge about 20 feet below the crest of the cliff. He moved carefully yet speedily, and within a minute the charges were set and primed. He was heading back up to the top when he sensed something was amiss. He lowered a visor, which he set to display thermal emissions. He ducked quickly and saw an otherwise invisible red dot appear on the cliff wall, exactly where his head had been. The dot moved quickly to catch up to it's target. Gordon swore loudly and began running to the rest of his squad. He ducked and weaved to make himself less of a target, and stopped occasionally. The cliff wall behind him shattered as a shot nailed it. He ran faster. He saw that there were now more dots, all trained on him. He was close to his squad, the newer soldiers somewhat confused as to what was happening, as they couldn't see the dots. With a last burst of speed, Gordon hurdled himself out of sight. Just in time, too, as a large boulder he had been in front of shattered. He lay there for a moment, before brushing some dirt off himself and standing up. "They know we're here." He gestured for the squad to get away from the cliff, and when they were several hundred yards away, he hit the detonator.
The ground rumbled violently for a moment, until a large portion of the cliff slid towards the wall. If it were coming head on the wall would have stopped it, but it was going to hit at an angle, from above. Rock and dirt cascaded over the wall, burying several guard towers. Gordon grunted, satisfied.

Tenoch winced, flipping the channels off before the rocks hit so he could still hear the other stations. "Congratulations." Tenoch said. "Pandemonium has ensued. Now can we get inside?"

Gordon flashed him a grin, and pushed himself off the ground. Already, alarms could be heard. "Right now I suggest we find some high ground and prepare an ambush of some sort." He looked around quickly, then checked his video visor. He pointed to a rocky outcrop. "There." He headed towards it quickly.

Tenoch shook his head. "Don't go there." He said. "They're sending a team up there."

"I know," Gordon said, popping his knuckles. "That's why we have to hurry." He started jogging. As he reached the hill he opened comm-link to the sniper. "Johnson, what have you got?"
Johnson whistled. :Bloody 'ell mate, yeh should 'ave seen the look on some o' those buggers' faces." He chuckled.
"Look Johnson, we've got--" "A squad headed your way and you'd like me to slow them down a little," Johnson said matter-of-factly. "I know, I can the 'em from here. Consider them slowed down mate." Gordon smiled. "Thanks."

Tenoch shrugged. "Okay. You mind letting me know exactly what we're going to do once we're up there? Because eventualy we're going to have to get into the city."
