This is my audition:
Hotness grew upon the tips of her fingers as balls of fire appeared upon them. Brown hair waved as the wind ripped through her battered gray dress. Slowly her feet covered her tawny leather shoes lifted from the ground. Bits of dirt spun uncontrollably into the air surrounding her thin and starved body. Arms outstretched as her body formed the image of a cross as fire still burned within her hand. A pernicious laugh escaped her full lips as her green icy eyes glanced upon the frightened beast before her. Fearfully the dragon took a few steps back, but was not as scarred as his rider. Crimson scales covered the dragon as ivory fangs extended from his mouth as claws extended from his hands.
‘What did I tell you about witches?’ The dragon furiously whispered to the young man who sat upon his back. He laughed stiffly though his eyes never came off from the witch. ‘What you should be asking, Tono, is do I have a plan.’ The man whispered back seriously, as he moved his legs, which were covered with breeches. Obediently the dragon slowly moved back then felt the soft cloth of the man's black shirt as he got off. Tono then glanced rather strangely at his rider, who he had hoped would escape from such a dangerous creature rather than confront it. Meanwhile the girls eyes had been watching the two still burning with anger from when they first meet, which lead them to this point…
'What are you doing here, you old hag?' The drunken young man spoke foolishly to the wise older lady. The woman could only walk steadily away as she hunched over with rags to cover her thin body. Yet the boy was not yet done and began to shout insults at the woman encouraging his friends on the street. 'Will, maybe you should stop, she is just an old lady.' His friend laid a comforting hand upon his shoulder as words of wisdom flew from his mouth. The young man shrugged off his hand and continued to taunt the lady as they followed her down the street, while his wise friend went off, disappointed in Will's foolishness. Though the group of boys was not aware that the lady was leading them towards a large statue of a beautiful woman.
There she silently prayed for help has many her age did, for it was to bring good fortune. Suddenly she turned around as a powerful voice spoke through her. 'Your ways are devious and hateful, and because of your foolishness you will all suffer not a single one of you will escape.' With that the woman carried on her way as the group of boys stood there in shock and awe. Then without a moments hesitation they all fled, but only that one man stayed at the statue. Anger went through him as he realized his foolishness even though had had been forewarned. Madly he picked up a rock and threw it at the statue only to flee in terror of what he had just done...
Once she noticed the man approach she slowly descended to the earth. Though her eyes narrowed in suspicion and curiosity. Will bow curiously and glanced at the woman. 'Do I know you?' He asked questioningly for he could remember that he had seen that face before though didn't know who it was exactly. 'I am the same statue that you purposely threw a rock at.' She spoke with anger knowing that this was the time of her revenge within the desolate forest. The man stumbled backwards suddenly realizing with terror the mistake he made years ago. If only he could change the past...

*blushes* I can't believe you caught me roleplaying on NEOPETS of all places...*sighs* This is about the millionth roleplay board I've joined...but at least this one doesn't look like it'll be dying anytime soon. Yay! And I'll assume that and Audition is a starter post... Here... ---
Kill him.
Why?
Kill him!
WHY.
Such were the thoughts of an assassin. Sleek, nimble, strong, cold, impassionate--and perhaps hesitant.
If one was a human, would they not have a heart?
If one was human, would they not feel emotion?
She didn't know.
Left by a mother Left by a father Left by a sister Left by a brother.
Her life was a folorn poem, traced by creases of guilt and anger, glossed over with a professional air only one of her rank could obtain through years of experience.
Regrets? Of course. Remorse? Nobody knew.
"Kill him."
The voice was back, now rising from a deceased memory to frolic in a repetition of glee, a repetition of the past, a repetition of bloodshed.
She hated it. But loved it. Bloodlust. Beserker. Maybe that was what she was.
"Kill him." Tap, tap. "I shall allow you the burden for a year," The man before the assassin rapped his bejeweled staff once on the side of his throne, twice on the cold, echoing stone floor. "Are you listening?" He raised a bushy gray eyebrow, and a wave of wrinkles stood out on the left side of his forehead, brown spots of age dimpling on a canvas of pallid peach.
The figure before him gave a curt nod. Her dark clothing barely rustled at each action, the soft leather-soled shoes on her feet were spaced slightly apart in a loose, almost lazy fashion.
This irritated the king. This girl, this woman, this servant--she was supposed to be one of his legion of bodyguards, one who followed his every move with the precision of a needlepoint. Being a female did not excuse anything. In a skirt, out of a skirt, either way this wretch was failing to show enough respect to sate him. Did noble blood mean nothing?
"Woman, do you understand or not?" He sneered the words with a nasal lace of scorn, bitter at being lowered to such a level that he had to rely on one of the inferior gender to carry out his work.
Grey eyes that seemed to glitter silver stared at him in deathly serenity, and he wondered again if she was listening until she spoke in a soft steely voice,
"Understood."
"Then begone."
Two heels swept into a rigidly straight position, almost military. The girl leaned foward into a stiff bow, arms behind her back, the stud in her left ear winking red in flickering torchlight. Then she strode swiftly out, leaving the large gold-hinged doors to the throne room to swing closed with a mournful clang.
Death was naught but an employment.
Was it not?
The metal guards on the assassin's limbs and torso were cold to touch, even through their cloth paddings.
She viewed the entirety of her task in mind as she walked to the pub, to the smithy, to the stables.
Find the irksome lord. Kill him. Use stealth. Be subtle. Letting loose the length of black hair coiled atop her head, she let a breath out to fog the chill air, taking a glance at the sky above that lacked a moon.
Memory was an odd thing, letting some things fall to rest and others to never die.
Zahin. That was her name. One thing among the barren fields of murder she would never forget. A sliver of a whisper, but it was and had been hers and hers alone for nineteen long years.
-
Morning came with the delicacy of a porcelain teacup, fresh and golden with a fragile veil of mist that settled comfortably on the boughs of many a tree. Bird calls rang true and clear as a bell to match the sweetness of morning dew at dawn.
Beautiful, and as simply beautiful as beauty could ever hope to be.
How ironic it was that a such a disgraceful person could walk through the peacefulness with hardly the disturbance of a leaf.
How sad.
Expressionless yet perceptive, she traveled in solitary self-sustainment, carrying scanty supplies but a keen eye and mind. The thief lord would be a wily one, a cunning fox to hunt down in her hunt. Leads were few, tracks fewer still. As a scheme unfolded in her thoughts, she worked to uphold it. Her usual clothing was removed, cast aside for a less conspicuous costume of a middle-classed cloth and style. Her hair went a tad more reluctantly, as it could be of surprising use in a decent fight. It went up again as it most often did, coiled and tied securely beneath a cap.
Several days of measured carelessness lent her already wiry frame a famished look, and dirt brushed itself up from the earth to smudge her skin and ingrain her hands. The clothing wore easily, a false yet practiced accent seasoned the drawl of her acquired character. In both appearance and spirit she became bound, trained, and commanded to act as a male--and she carried out the role with drilled ease. The typical swagger, the slightly deepened voice--both were trivial. Even a stench was found, in the docks, full of salt air and fish on the brink of spoilage.
One task remained undone.
Infiltration. Trust.
Time was all that might run short.
She lessened her cautiousness and continued a brash tramp through the forest and hills, biding as little as could be.
---
It's a rather practised one, if you can tell. I typed it up a few years, and it's been a base ever since. ;D

Ah Ah AH ! ... Okay, the thing is, that if I sent you the neomail asking you to join the Black Haven, it means that I've seen you RP already, so know that you're literate. Those that need to post an audition applications are those that I haven't seen RP. Sorry for not clarifying earlier. Oh, by the way, your post was simply wonderful.

ooc: Umm... HI. here's my intro....
BiC:
/Don’t sigh at the moon if you want the answers Don’t sigh at the moon or the stars above If you want to know where the answers reside Look inside, Look inside yourself/
A sigh fell from slightly plump lips, looking up at the ceiling; the male ran a slightly muscular hand through his short blonde hair. Leaning back in his seat, the male fixed his suit realizing it was a bit messy from working so hard. Standing he stretched, the blue suit falling into place. He dusted off his blue dress pants and fixed his tied and shirt. His black formal shoes clicked against the tiled floor of the 27th precinct. Randy MacLean, otherwise known as Ryo, massaged his hands from writing the report for so long. He didn’t know where his partner, Dee, was. Dee had said something about going home to get something and had been gone for two hours, leaving Ryo to do the whole report by himself.
Ryo looked around he jumped in surprise when a bellowing voice yelled “Dee! Ryo! Get your asses in here! Pronto!” Ryo winced and walked into the head of the 27th precincts office. Snapping at attention, he saluted and brought his arm down saying “Sir. What is it?” The chief looked around and said “Where’s your lazy partner?” Ryo blinked and said “Dee?” The chief snapped and said “No. The Easter bunny! Of course Dee!” Ryo winced at the anger and he said “Well, Dee said he had to get something at home and he hasn’t come back yet.” The chief’s face got redder. Shouting he said “Well? What’re you standing around here for? Go get him!” Ryo fumbled and said “Yes sir.”
Ryo walked as fast as he could out of the office and into his car. Driving by Dee’s apartment complex, he saw no sign of Dee’s car there. Driving back to the 27th precinct he saluted the chief and said “I can’t find Dee.” The chief by then was calm. He said “Never mind. We’ll start without him. You can brief him later.” Ryo nodded and said “Yessir.” Ryo sat down just as the chief began. Ryo took the file handed to him by the chief while he listened at the same time.
The chief said “In the folder there’s a picture of a ten year old girl.” Opening the folder, Ryo nodded. The chief continued and said “You’re to go to the bar listed on the document and hang out there until you find her. It’s vital that you bring her back alive, the councilman that asked me to do this wishes to remain anonymous until he has his daughter back in his arms safely.” Ryo looked over the document, memorizing everything as best as he could. The chief said “All you need too know is that her first name is Katja. That’s all you need to call her. She will come willingly, if not, convince her to come.” Ryo nodded and the chief said “Good. Find Dee, and get ready, you’ll need club clothing for the place you’re going to, because it’s also a club.” Ryo nodded and left the office.
Walking to the shooting range he walked past JJ ignoring JJ as he tried to scope out Dee. Deciding Dee wasn’t there; he left the police shooting range and went off looking for Dee. Mingling about the Hallway, he waited on a bench for Dee to more than likely come walking by. Of course Dee could sneak up behind Ryo because there was enough room for Dee to do so and, Ryo wouldn’t notice because he was too preoccupied looking right and left for Dee boredly.
