Just some things I write to pass the time. I think I will leave two with you today. Use these to better your life, please. Sometimes I will post things out of this book I just finished today and I will post them to better your life but they are NOT MINE. They are a kid named Larry's. A very very, awesome kid.
Music Notes To Better Your Life
I recall (also as I am now in the car at 6:43 pm on Wednsday night) that my father and I listen to a lot of music. Mostly Christian music, movie soundtracks, and silly songs and parodies, but sometimes I take to hear the songs and try to compare them to my life. Most of the time it does not work but I don't dispare fore long and I just realized why as I write this: There are billions of people in this world! One of these songs I take to heart has to pertain to a fraction of them! And if they could just hear this certain song...their problem could be solved. Music is a good thing but sometimes people turn it to bad. Don't listen to all that sad CRAP. Get music that makes ou feel happy. Unless you just can't stop laughing and are very hyper. Then listen to some Evanessence. I am not putting down the sad songs entirely here. People write about what they feel and if they aren't its just another poppy "Hit Me Baby One More Time" or "1985" with a different name but the SAME MEANING. Here, take this idea. You've all probably heard this before but write what you feel! I can't go to class without some sort of writing utensil and a piece of paper in my hand. I write down what I think at the time I think it. Or if I don't want to get into trouble, I make a very strong mental note of it, and write it down later. Hey! I wrote the first part of this in the car with my dad as I mentioned before, listening to In Like A Lion by Relient K and going to Wally World for Shick razor blades and a new calculator (my old one just died on me two days ago. its roached, man). I totally just got off topic there. Anyway, I'll leave you to your thoughts about music and writing it, taking it to the heart and publishing it. : )

British India Tea Company Sermon by Josh (Larry) Swenson
Back in 1773, the British India Tea Company complained that they were suffering economic hardship so the British government passed the Tea Act of 1773, letting them off the hook for paying taxes. The colonists of New England were furious that the government had given the company unfair advantage over smaller and local competitors. So the boycotted, eventually staging the historic Boston Tea Party on this very spot, an act that demonstrated they were tired of a governmentthat favored big business over its own citizens. I say that the situation we citizens face today isn't much different than what our ancestors faced in our country's infancy. In fact, it's much worse.
Do you know that 83% of the government's income comes from people like you and me and only 17% is from corporations? It used to be a 50/50 split. Why so unfair to the average citizen now? Because you and I don't have lobbyists fighting for our rights in Washington the way corporations do. Our politicians have taken so much money from big business for their campaign war chests that they have to listen to their concerns. They'll pay you and I lots of lip service that they care about our needs, but until we fork over the same kind of cash as the corporations do, we're out of luck. As it is now, we go to our jobs every day so we can donate money to bail out the airlines, the banks, and the utilities. Our ancestors at the Tea Party rebelled over a whole lot less than that.
The Boston Tea Party was famous for another reason too – it was one of the earliest efforts where women in this country organized to change public policy. I'm happy to say my running mate, Beth Coleman, embodies the spirit of these brave and resourceful women. I invite all women and men, boys and girls, to work with us in affecting positive change again today. Those colonists went down in history for standing up against a government that valued corporations more than its own people; work with us now to stand up to this corporate-loving government again.

Hmm. I can't quite agree with you about listening to happy music. When I'm feeling like crap the last thing I want to listen to is something cheery mock my misery. For me, sad songs act as outlets for any pent up feelings of anger, sadness, frustration, etc. And if I don't vent any of those feelings I'm liable to break down, go on a homicidal rampage, do drugs, and all sorts of other nasty stuff. I do listen to happy music too. All sorts of songs make me feel happy. I don't always feel like crap. Really, just find music that you think is appropriate.
*sigh* I wonder which "anti-corporate non-conformist holier than thou" site you stumbled upon. I swear, there are so many of those guys out there. I'll bet they tried to sell you a magazine subscription.
I dunno, I just don't dig those sort of things. I'm like, totally indifferent to the whole affair. Call me pessimistic, but there is nothing we can do to change the way things are. I mean, I know it's all romantic "Bleep the system!" and all that, but it really doesn't achieve anything. Peaceful protests? The peaceful bit only counts for anything if it's some group that's being unfairly treated or whatever, like Tiananmen Square.
I'm not denying that today' society is crooked, I'm just saying there's no sense getting all up in arms about it.

Hummmmm....I like music. Dad says music makes you smarter. But I'm talking about playing in band. Sometimes listening to music can make you happy, or whatever. But I am really a band geek. Yay! Sad music, s'long as it's not suicidal, can be nice to listen to. But I hate suicidal music. It makes you suicidal too. As for the financial biz, I have no idea what you're talking about, plus, I couldn't understand anyways.

I'm a big music freak. Actually, I can't go to sleep without listening to my MP3 player. Sad, eh?
Anyway, I'm a big fan of all types of music. Rock, rap, hiphop... You name it.
I love to play music, as well. I play the violin. Rather fun, really, and I couldn't imagine if I hacen't decided to play it. =)

I HATE RAP! Everyone in my school is singing a rap song and I hate it! Cept for this one rap parody that I am singing all the time "Will you tell Him save me and please stand up?"

I'll have to side with Raven on this one, I can't stand rap either. It's classic rock all the way for me. And System of a Down. I don't know why I like them, the just rock. I don't like screamo and crap, but I like System. It's strange.

The rap that talk about women, sex, and stuff like that I can't stand. The other stuff I suppose is ok. Except 50 Cent. I can't stand him.
