Pharren shook her head as she continued to look at the cards. "Like I said before, we usually aren't allowed to fight on Ixra-weh." She murmured. "When we do we are severly punished. Its not a pretty sight." She cringed at the thoughts then shook them out of her head. "Battles and weapons are saved for the older children. Training of the mind comes first." She curiously took one of the cards and looked at it closely. "I'm surprised we have no games like this on Ixra-weh. Heaven knows our warriors would benifit from it." Pharren placed the card back into the pile. "Many warriors grow up to be like Donten, I'm afraid. Too stuck up to care." She closed her eyes and bit her lip as she thought. "I just know I'm not going to end up like him. And if he thinks he's going to marry me, he's got another thing coming." She muttered to herself.

"We are encouraged to hone our fighting skills from an early age. Fighting outside of a supervised keh'rite is strictly forbidden. That way the rules are followed so no one is badly hurt. The Jehdin/Jehdin(hand to hand combat) fights are very important. They teach strategy against larger, faster or more skilled opponents. They teach fairness and how to graciously accept defeat. Unfortunately, we also have arrogant warriors, thinking that our species is superior to all others. It is not a difficult thing to start beleiving when you hunt everything else. You should not have to be forced to mate someone you dislike so much." Half joking, she added, "I could come and convince them if you wish." She smirked, then flipped her card. It was identical to Pharren's. "War!" she crowed triumphantely.

Pharren laughed a little then followed the instructions M'yin-de had gave her and first laid down 3 cards, blank side up. She looked at M'yin-de for a moment then shook her head. "No, I don't think that's neecessary. While sometimes people are too greedy so they marry their offspring off to someone they hate, most of Wehines marry for love. My mother wouldn't make me marry someone I hated." She took another card from her half of the deck. "My father on the other hand..." SHe trailed off, regretting she had even started the sentence.

M'yin-de's brow ridges snapped together. Males forcing their children to marry... It just seemed so wrong... She flipped over her fourth card and saw it was a two. She pushed the whole mess of cards over to Pharren. "Phar'ren. If you need me at any point in your life, I will come and help. Need someone to disappear or someone protected and I will do it. I swear on my honor." M'yin-de said fiercely. There were few in her life she offered such help to. Only close friends and her own children had ever received it. At that moment, the door slid open and Gts-paik poked her head in. "Mother. They have returned your transmission. More of them this time, I think. Thwei-Tjau'ke is keeping them occupied at the moment." M'yin-de got up with a sigh, wincing slightly as her knees protested being in a such a position for so long. She unhooked her long, scarlet cloak and swept it about her shoulders. Wonderful... More politics... she mentally groaned.

Pharren stood, not bothered by kneeling for so long. She looked up at M'yin-de weakly. She was promising to protect her...it just seemed like too much that M'yin-de was giving away to her. She wondered who was going to be at the transmission. Probably a bunch of elders. She hoped that Donten would be snapped at for being so stupid. He may have been high in command but he had no right to just strand her with the Yautja without permission from Elders. When they walked back to the room Pharren had just been in before, looking Donten strait in his red eyes, Pharren shrunk back once again. One the screen were about 6 people...one including her mother who's eyes shifted to the floor.

Thwei-Tjau'ke shot M'yin-de a look of releif as she entered and quickly vacated the room. The ship was set on autopilot and would be fine. He was far too young to get involved in complicated interspecies relations and knew it. He didn't have the life experiance. M'yin-de again bowed before them, "I am Elder Paya M'yin-de, honored warrior and Arbitrator." She noted their reactions, from angry to haughty to worried. "Have you decided upon a meeting place, or have you decided to abandon one of your own among us?" she said coolly and bluntly. The Elder had little patience for fools. She gently coaxed Pharren forwards with a hand on her back. "As you can see, she is in good condition, better than when I found her, though I would never dream of harming her." Her hot orange, feral eyes bored straight into Donten's, staring him down.

Donten did the same to M'yin-de. "There's far too much contraversy between our planets to ignore and we are only allies with our sister moons and Marinda." He muttered. It was obvious he hated to see Pharren with them. "The Elders of our tribe held a vote and..." He trailed off for a moment and looked to Pharren. But Pharren only had eyes, staring at her mother on the screen. She wasn't even listening. She's so upset... Pharren thought. She wanted to reach out and touch the screen, to say hello and tell her she was fine. Donten continued. "So much tension could cause an uprising on the Moons...Pharren making the mistake of running into has put her in a horrible situation." He paused when Pharren's mother placed her hand upon Donten's bony shoulder. He stepped back and it was as if Pharren's mother ignored everyone except Pharren on the screen. "I am Phantak Catzar, Elder of Ixra-weh." She murmured, and kept her focus on Pharren. "Our majority vote...for the good of all moons of Marinda and the mother planet itself...Pharren must be banished from IXra-weh, Marinda, and any other joining moons." Pharren and her mother, like two copies of one alien stared at each other. Tears slid down both their cheeks, and Phantak turned away, walking towards the door of the Tech room where they were holding the transmission. And she left. Donten stepped forward again and looked to M'yin-de. "Since she is banished you can do with her as you see fit." He muttered then glanced at Pharren. "Ixra-weh...out." He said and the screen faded. Pharren just stared at the blank screen. ...Mother...

M'yin-de lost it. She threw her head back and voiced a great bellowing roar. Rushing forwards, she drew back her right fist and slammed it into the screen! Sparks spat and hissed around her as she snarled. Yanking her hand from the shattered glass, M'yin-de turned abruptly on her heel and stormed out of the room, straight to her cabin. She snatched her h'sai-de(curved sword) off the wall and and her naginata. HOW THE PAUK COULD THEY DO THAT TO HER?!? She was their child! Children... Children must be protected at all costs, for they were precious! C'jit Ixra-weh and their idiot leaders! Why would her presence cause an uprising? It would only improve relations between their species if she could be returned home! No one should have to spend the rest of their life being punished for a something they did not commit! NO ONE! She had half a mind to call the Council and bring war to the Marindan system! Killing them that brought such misery to Pharren would be sweet... Reaching the small keh'rite in the lower part of the ship, the other Yautja in it fled before her, smelling and seeing the rage on her. "GTS-PAIK! I WANT YOU IN HERE NOW!" she screamed, loud enough for the whole ship to hear. Her daughter came running and understood immidiately what her mother wanted. Taking out her own h'sai-de, she sank into her battle stance. M'yin-de wanted to release her rage into something productive and training was the best way. While at the moment, she didn't care if she hurt any of the other warriors, she wouldn't hurt her daughter. They began sparring, swords flashing in silver arcs, blades clashing loudly. They gained an audience. The female warrior in a bad mood was always fun to watch, if you were not the object of her rages. She'd not be giving up just yet. M'yin-de could be very... persistant.

Pharren had stood there for a moment, dumbfounded as M'yin-de punched a hole right through the screen and then stormed off. It was as if time itself stopped as Pharren stood there. Nothing else mattered at the moment as the truth hit her like a bag of mortar that had sat out in the sun for days. She wasn't going home. She was never going home. She suddenly darted out and followed M'yin-de by the sound of her voice. She watched from the back of the audience then her knees buckled and she knelt on the ground, watching the battle between M'yin-de and Gts-paik. Pharren hiccupped as she watched, tears running down her face in a flood now. M'yin-de's so angry...all because of me... She thought with regret.

By the time M'yin-de and Gts-paik finished, their skins and dreadlocks were shiny with sweat and their chests were heaving. She felt much better after the furious battle. Her mind was cleared and her rage focused down into something small and hot, easily controlled and directed. After they were done, the handful of other warriors trickled away. M'yin-de headed straight to her chambers to polish and sharpen her weapons, keeping them in good condition. Nihkou'te found Pharren soon after the training session. He knelt, a grin on his red, red-brown and orange marked face. "Did the bad ol' M'yin-de scare you?" He tilted his head to the side, silently asking a question. "She just had to get her temper under control there. She almost never looses it like that. The only things that piss her off badly are me and when someone threatens what she thinks of as her offspring. I've always had a knack for making her angry." he said, a merry twinkle in his yellow eyes.

Pharren stared at him and shook her head but stayed silent. She glanced at the ground again where her tears now ended up. She clenched her gold teeth together and extracted and retracted her claws over and over again. "No..." She finally said. "She didn't scare me...I just thought she was mad because of me..." Pharren looked up at him.

"Nah. She turns a blind eye to most children. You couldn't make her angry if you tried. So, what happened? Nobody tells me anything, but I'm guessing..." He screwed up his eyes and placed his fingers on his temples. "That it did not go very well. Enlighten me, oh Great Phar'ren, Master, oops, Mistress of Misery." He gave another more than slightly insane grin and glanced around, checking to make sure M'yin-de wasn't going to appear behind him and swat him for being him.

Pharren, though she thought he was humorous, did not smile or laugh. She just stared at him then shook her head. "I don't want to talk about it..." She murmured. She actually wanted to go find M'yin-de so she stood up. "Bye." She said then walked out of the keh'rite and went to find M'yin-de. She searched a few places before ending up at her cabin again. She stared at her then slowly took a step inside her cabin. "M'yin-de?" Pharren whispered.

Nihkou'te watched, dumbfounded. He'd never gotten that sort of reaction before... The Yautja shook his head, grin dropping off his face. He didn't like that reaction at all. Getting up, he went to find Gts-paik. M'yin-de was sitting on one of the cushions, drawing a whetstone along the deadly blade with a harsh rasping noise. She looked up at Pharren's hesitant whisper. "Yes? Do you need anything?" She swiped the stone along the blade twice more before getting up, sheathing the blade and hanging it back on the wall. The whetstone went into her trunk.

Pharren watched her. "...You're very cross aren't you?" She asked. Her voice shook. She wasn't really sure what M'yin-de would do, now that Pharren wasn't allowed back home. "I can go somewhere else..." She whispered. "It would be stupid of me to expect you to take care of me. I'll just go to some other planet." She hung back near the doorway, half in and half out of the room. Pharren knew that M'yin-de had her own children to worry about, she didn't need a stupid alien child hanging around her all the time. It would cause suspicions...it might even put M'yin-de's title in jeprody.
